Life Member, Past Chief, and Fire Police Captain

It is with profound sadness that the Third District Volunteer Fire Company announces the Line of Duty Death of Life Member, Past Chief, and Fire Police Captain Edward “Ed” Margavich.

On August 15, 2025, Chief Margavich succumbed to injuries sustained while faithfully serving the community during an emergency response on Box 11-36 in Croydon earlier this month.

Known for his kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter, Ed had a way of brightening every meeting, every call, and every life he touched.
